After 34 years in mortgage and financial services, published author Siam Maxie discovered menopause wasn't costing women discipline or knowledge — it was costing them income, confidence, and career stability. Now, as The Menopause Catalyst, she helps organizations see it before it costs them too.

Menopause is being addressed medically. I address what it’s Costing.
Organizations invite me to speak when they're ready to understand the hidden financial impact of menopause. I help leadership teams connect the dots between menopause, productivity, retention, workplace performance, and business results—then provide practical strategies they can implement.
My workshops are built around three proprietary frameworks: The Money Drain™, The Decision Gap™, and The Equity Bridge™. Together, they walk women and organizations through how menopause reshapes spending, decision-making, and wealth-building — with tools to move forward.

About Siam
For 34 years, I built a career in mortgage banking and financial services — helping others make smart financial decisions while earning at the highest levels myself. I'm a producing sales manager, an Amazon bestselling author (Home Buying Basics), and someone who has never stopped believing in the power of financial literacy to change lives.
Then perimenopause hit — and it didn't ask permission.
It started with brain fog I couldn't explain. Word fluency issues. Moments of stuttering. Memory loss that scared me. Then hot flashes that could stop a meeting cold. I saw seven or eight specialists trying to find answers. Meanwhile, I wasn't showing up the way I used to — missed calls, skipped marketing events, days I couldn't get out of bed. My income dropped by more than 80% over two years. Not because I lacked discipline. Because I didn't have the capacity, and no one had ever told me this was coming.
That gap — between what was happening to my body and what anyone had prepared me for — is the reason I do this work now.
Today, as The Menopause Catalyst, I help organizations see what I couldn't see for myself: that menopause is a financial event, not just a medical one. I speak, I facilitate workshops, and I write — including my latest eBook, Menopause Is Inevitable. Financial Disruption Is Not. I also host Menopause, Money & More (The 3M Podcast), continuing a passion for audio conversations I built over 3.5 years hosting a mortgage-focused podcast before retiring it to focus fully on this mission.
Beyond this work, I sit on the board of Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County (involved since 2004), I'm a proud mom to my 25-year-old son, and I'm a woman of faith who believes deeply in showing up for people. I was born and raised in Chicago, and got to Texas as fast as I could.
